We're launching an Afro-lifestyle giveaway featuring five African brands that design, create and sell their accessories to customers and audiences both on and offline. All you need to do is sign up for a chance to scoop these amazing pieces.

I'll be giving away a set of 2 handmade saggar tealight holders and a jewellery box .
Ayok’a is giving away a framed art print that the winner can choose from over 200 different designs. 
Onua will be giving away one of their Dutch-wax lampshades with a matching set of coasters.
Djilene Creations wilm be giving away a TUUTI TANK or little foot chair. 
Opouko will be giving away a cushion made of hand woven cloth designed in France and woven entirely by hand in Ivory Coast.

Make More - A festival for Doers and Makers - Sunday 26 and Monday 27 August 2018

The festival takes place over five days this August bank holiday. On Thursday and Friday it runs from 3pm - 10pm and Saturday till Monday from 11am - 10pm.
Included in your general admission ticket is a whole day of hands on creative experiences with making sessions, interactive demos and open workshops. There's no need to fork out for 'add-ons' once you're in. Some of the makers and chefs will be putting on a couple of paid workshops for dedicated fans of their work and these will sell out before the event. Free entry for children under 10, family tickets and other information are also available on Eventbrite.

120 makers, live music and demonstrations including 3D printing by the winner of The Great Pottery Throwdown, Ryan Barrett. The other making businesses in the Mentmore studios building (of which Turning Earth E10 is part), will be opening their doors to the public as well - including Wilder Creative, ThinkFound, Uncommon Projects and Pavilion Bakery.

There'll be Breton crepes and galettes on sale, and a full lunch menu at Lighthaus, the cafe downstairs.
We'll be selling specially donated works and seconds from studio members to raise money for the Hackney Migrant Centre, which helps immigrants and asylum seekers living in our community.
